"a happy little street"
Carbine is an insignificant little street in the small town of Kerang,a street full of friendly,down to earth working class country people,some would say that it is the wrong side of the tracks,or ''the Bronx'',however this is undeserved,and is in fact a very nice steet to live in,it has a mixture of people from all cross sections of the community,from young families to retirees,although on the northern outskirts of the town,it is close to most services,and comes alive at christmas time with the ''carbine light show'' providing entertainment for the locals and visitors alike,carbine is a regular winner of the competition for the best christmas lights and is awarded the title of ''santa's street'' almost annually.
