Best coffee in Carlton depends on individual taste....Brunetti have the most authentic Italian 'Bar' feel with their new fit-out, coffee is hit and miss depending on the barista making it, DOC generally have ok coffee but hard to find a quiet spot to enjoy it, if you are a connoisseur of coffee, then buying your own blend of ground beans at Grinders and making the brew from scratch in your Italian 'Cafatera' would be a good move...having said all of that, it's about the experience not just the coffee, and this is often influenced by the people you are with.
