Hey yes, I can help. The simple answer is that there used to be a lot of older people but now its majority 20 - 40 year-olds according to the census (only just though) and this is increasing. The area is undergoing significant gentrification as time goes on but not as quickly as some of the neighbouring suburbs. There are some really lovely people and the suburb is amazing with all the green space and waterways. The is some housing commission homes but no more or less than in surrounding suburbs.

The suburb has experienced steady growth over time, with a median growth rate of 6% per year since 2005.

The suburb has two schools, namely Craigslea State Primary and High School.

The majority of the population is aged between 20 and 40 years old, followed by those aged 60+, with 40-60 year-olds in third place.

The suburb has a high proportion of standalone houses, with 90% of dwellings being standalone houses, and 24% of these being rental properties.

The median household income is $1500+ per week in 80% of households.

In terms of occupation, the majority (25%) of people in Chermside West are professional workers, while only 4% are unemployed.

Hope this helps!
