Is Clarkson suitable for first home buyers and is reasonabley cheap in terms of costs of living?

Looking to buy our first home, however tossing up whether or not this suburb is safe and suitable for us. We like our qiet time, and would enjy having a larger sized block compared to whatr is available where we currently live - south perth.

I didn't notice any cost difference from North to South. Saved about $50 a month converting from rent to mortgage (minimum deposit) but water, electric & council rates are expensive - no avoiding that but worth doing your sums before getting your first home.

Safe wise you here the odd thing on the news (as most Perth suburbs) but in over a year I've never seen anything dodgy. pretty chilled area lots of young families, and a lot of Brit ex-pats.
