Is Clinton a good suburb for retired people.

Absolutely it is close to everything including medical services and is a very safe area with a lot of long term locals residing in the suburb. My family have lived in Clinton for over 50 years and we all still live in the houses we purchased.

Depends on which side of Clinton .
Airport and government housing one side .
New tight packed housing development on the other side .
I wouldn't personally lived in Gladstone 20 + years .
Go out to Calliope or Tannum Sands.

Is there a lot of crime in & around that area? Looking at properties for sale most seems to have security screens on the windows.

Absolutely! Clinton is a quiet neighborhood. Only a short drive to Kirkwood Woolworths and Kin Kora shopping centre. Clinton has it's own bakery, butcher and small grocer. There is easy access to a physio in the area as well. Across from the access points of Clinton is the homemakers centre which boasts Bunnings, Pillow talk, Betta Electrical, Harvey Norman and Chemist Warehouse.
