Local advice about schools and neighbourhood
Coffs Harbour, NSW 2450 is located within the Coffs Harbour local government area, part of the Mid-North Coast Region in New South Wales.
My family are looking to relocate from cold, wet, windy Victoria to somewhere coastal NSW. Could anyone please give me some honest 'local' advice about which neighbourhoods in Coffs Harbour are safe, family friendly spots. Also, any advice on the public school system, I have looked at MySchool website, it didn't have glowing reports about Coffs Harbour Primary School. The non government schools in the area are achieving high academic results, but financially it would be a bit out of my reach to send my children there.
Any advice will be appreciated. It is quite hard to research an area you can't pop in the car and drive over!
Kind regards,
TAnia

Sandy Beach PS is an excellent place to send your children. The teachers are caring and activities are constantly being held to encourage personal and academic growth. They encourage community participation and parents are always welcome to join in, whether it be helping with reading, canteen, or the many other projects occuring. (We have three children attending)
