Carrie,
We have a lot of parks in our area. Right in the village is the Cold Spring Harbor park, which is right in the water. A little further north is Caumsett State Park, which is 1500 acres and has miles of paved trails as well as nature trails overlooking the Long Island Sound.
The green belt also goes through the village just behind the library and is a great hiking trail!
