I like the cave of the winds
Thanks that sounds so fun I love caves. You will love Carlsbad. I was a bat monitor for the City of Boulder for a year one summer counting the bats in and out of Mallory cave on the Flatirons, the fungal infection had just started to be noticable especially in the east. I hadnt heard that the parks and rec throughout the states is thinking about shutting it all down. I have heard that it is the humans that have spoiled the microenvironment of the bats and the caves--bats are so amazing and important to the balance of bugs and plant pollination etc...I love them. Get to Carlsbad while you can it is amazing! I'm gonna go to the Springs!
We do have a lot in common, too bad we didn't get to meet on New Years. Counting the bats was a funny process we layed on the rock at dusk and used a clicker whenever we saw a bat exit the cave entrance even though that meant some bats might have came in and back out. But mostly they exit and feed for an hour or so. If you and I see an event in the area that we both like maybe we can meet someday? Just a thought to seed in our minds...
I really like Cheyenne Zoo (but its hard to see the mountain lions passing around and around) and The World Arena for ice skating is fun
I have never been there before, is it somewhere you can visit even in the winter?
