"Friendly town"

Cooloola Cove is surrounded by so much natural beauty. Only 15 minutes to Rainbow Beach. Great fishing and 4 wheel driving. People very friendly. Feel very safe here. We back onto a National Park and there is a backburn every 3 years so dont have to worry about fires. There arent many shops in the area but we have all the essentials. Gympie has everything and only 35 minute drive. We regularly drive to Sunshine Coast and Hervey Bay. Nice restaurants and cafes in Tin Can Bay and Rainbow Beach.

"Cooloola Cove is home to Queensland's worst criminals"

Many areas flood in Cooloola Cove - flood maps are not reliable because the council is corrupt. Houses are near watercourses and nature reserves in low-lying/very flat areas, or on uneven blocks which fill up with water. Stormwater drainage is also inadequate. Crime is everywhere - be very careful. The people are horrific criminals. It is a regional/rural area with lots of crime, very little happening, and a history of close calls with bushfires. Houses couldn't be cheap enough. Don't risk it. Lots of drug users (meth contaminated houses), drug dealers, and horrible gans who drive around modified/boosted holden commodores etc. Unsafe for families and anyone looking to move here. Beware of real estate agents also - they are in on it.

Are there two Cooloola Coves? Havent had problems with crime, gangs, etc. Have always felt safe here. National Parks do backburns in the parks to eliminate bad bushfires. Lack of shops but all essentials here/Tin Can Bay. Gympie has every shop you would ever need. The boating/4 wheel driving is exceptional. Nice restaurants in Tin Can and Rainbow Beach.

"A holiday turned into a daily life"

Moved here 12 months ago after holidaying here for about 6 yrs on and off . We love it after the hustle and bustle of city life . I guess like everywhere there are people from all walks of life . My motto , if it doesn’t effect me and mine , then it’s none of my business! Internet is good , phone reception ( Telstra ) good . Sandflies have their days ( nothing like Poona though ) If buying really check the blocks out after some rain . We loved a few homes but the blocks were wet , the house we chose drains really fast . The only fault I find is we need a few more options for shopping , a clothes shop or 2 and a gift shop would be nice . That’s my only complaint , so not a bad place to live at all !!

Hi - We're looking at moving up that way from the Sunshine Coast. We have two kids - 10 and 2. Wondering if you feel still the same way about Cooloola Cove. Do you have any advice on schools? Is it easy to make friends? We won't know anyone up there. Thanks in advance.

"A pleasant place to live"

We have been here 6 months now and have found it to be a very quiet and friendly neighbourhood to live & retire.

Nice big blocks with room to move .

We are very happy that we made the decision to buy here in Cooloola Cove.
To date we have found the weather to be a very mild climate.
