Are sandflies a problem in Cooloola Cove / Tin Can Bay
Cooloola Cove, QLD 4580 is located within the Cooloola local government area, part of the Wide Bay-Burnett Region in Queensland.
We really want to move to the area, but my husband and my son come up in welts & scratch to the bone after being bitten by sandflies. They can handle that if we are holidaying, but if they are a problem in the townships & not just by the water, then we might have to look inland a little further...

are the sand flies right across the area or just some streets

Some parts of the year they can get bad - especially if you are mowing or whipper snipping outside, or near the water after lots of rain.
