Can anyone advise me if it is worth buying in Dandenong North (Heatherton Road)?

Dandenong North is certainly very affordable. There are some terrific local schools, 2 large shopping centres (Waverley Gardens and Dandenong Plaza), Monash Freeway and Eastlink close by, excellent public transport access also.
