what service should we use for internet?

Hi every one, I have just moved in (Keneally st). I was wondering which internet provider is better for this area. As one of my neighbor's said he could not get any of the providers get the connection going. Telstra, TPG , Belong, iiNet, None of them could get it going as according to them, there is not infrastructure. It is a bit strange.
