Dayboro got flooded again in 2017, even after the bridge upgrade. Dayboroinfo.com.au has some information about the dayboro floods of 2017

It appears that new development has not learned from the previous events in 2011, 2013 and now 2017. Buyer beware, check the flood maps, like KayB said. You will most likely not be able to insure in flood areas now, or if you can the premium will be high I think.

yes. widening /cleaning of the creek that runs through town main street. New bridge. Like all early settlements , town grew around the only water supply. when purchasing any area, just check out with locals where flooded. Lowest blocks anywhere will flood. Water has to run downhill! Usually they are the cheapest land..for a reason.
