Reviews of Dulwich Hill, NSW

"Convenient location"

Been living here for a bit more than an year, very convinient location with lightrail and train. Good amount of restaurants and a local IGA. No coles or woolworths, for that and gym I go to Marrickville which is not far. Cooks river near by offers a nice green area for jogging and cycling.
Cons: very few residents that once in a while make noise late at night. Some vandalism iin the lightrail and graffiti scribbles taking over near the train station - bad visual polution on an otherwise beautiful and green suburb.

"Close to everything but peaceful."

We live in conservation area near yeo park. For 4 years now. So beautiful walking around our home. Lots of retirees and young families. Easy to go to city, airport, beach and all inner west surburbs. We even bought another house near our home. We may have to move to make our son closer to his high school. But we will keep our two houses in Dulwich hill and move back later.

"Affordable suburb close to city with reasonable prices (compare to other inner west suburbs)"

I lived in Dulwich hill for 2.5 years. Dulwich hill is a great place for professionals with the medium level income. it's 15 min away from City with regular train and bus services. The shops in marrickvile road offer different ethnic grocery options . Italian portugese, vietnamese, lebenes all in one street. Also it's Close to Petersham , Newtown with all different ethnic restaurant some of the best in Sydney. The house price and rents are resonable compare to other suburbs with similar location. The only negative point of Dulwich hill probably is air plane noise that is common in all inner west suburbs .

"Beautiful one day...perfect inner west living!"

Dulwich Hill is a beautiful suburb, full a gorgeous Victorian and Federation homes, parks and recreation areas. It is incredibly family friendly and in our 11 years of living here, we have alway felt extremely safe. Living on the Summer Hill, Lewisham Border of Dulwich Hill, we are in walking distance to fabulous cafes and restaurants, public transport and excellent schools. The community spirit is second to none - I have never experienced anything like it. You truly have a village atmosphere, with all the benefits of inner city living. We love it!

"Perfect"

Dulwich Hill is perfect what can i say, besides hearing the odd plane you are only 15 mins from the airport, 15 mins from the city , 20 mins by train to the city in peak hour. Local to a wide variety of shops , 5 mins from little italy and all cafes in haberfield and drummoyne. You are sooooo central you have to live here to really understand what i mean. Fom my house to neautral bay on saturday morning it is only 20 mins. For the inner west it the best.

"Jewel in the nile"

Dulwich Hill is the jewel in the nile surrounded by the the trendy suburbs of the inner west . Its a stone throw away from the city. You have some of the trendy cafes and only 5 mins from leichhardt. prices are not that excessive in housing compared to its counterparts like newtown and leichhardt. Central to all shopping such as metro in marrickville , cafes in summer hill westfields in burwood. Why live anywhere else.

"Family living in the inner west of Sydney"

Dulwich Hill is located about a thirty minutes' drive from the city in the inner west of Sydney. The closest train station is Dulwich Hill Station but train services to this area can be unreliable at times. The journey from Dulwich Hill to Wynyard in Sydney takes about thirty minutes during peak hours. Additionally, there are plenty of buses that run through Dulwich Hill to Sydney CBD and other suburbs around Sydney. Dulwich Hill is mainly a residential area with plenty of houses of all types. From Victorian homes to Federation homes, Dulwich Hill has it all. There are a handful of cafes, restaurants and a cake shop (Fernandes Patisserie) in this area.
