"Hidden suburb"

We have lived here for 11 years and started our family here. It’s such a great place to raise kids, so many parks, bike tracks, friendly people and the lake! The shopping centre has everything you need and it’s undercover parking which is great with Melbourne weather.
Great Primary schools and the views are amazing. Endeavour Hills is a hidden gem.

"Great surburb"

We moved to Endeavour Hills 2 years ago. Great place for families and those who enjoy nature, quiet surroundings.

Pros:
- Leafy and scenic surburb with hills, viewpoints and a lot of places to explore in a near vicinity
- Great place to start a family as a lot of childcare options and safe surroundings
- Endeavour Hills shopping center has everything you will need (Coles, Woolworth, Aldi, Kmart, small cafes and restaurants, some speciality shops). Dandenong market/plaza or Fountain gate are about 10 minutes drive for more shopping options.
- Easy access to M1
- Great and friendly neighbours (may be subjective, depends on location)

Cons:
- about 10 minutes drive to the nearest train station (public buses are available but prepare to spend up to 30 minutes to the nearest station)
- No nightlife
- Some pockets can be a bit dodgy

"Beautiful, scenic and safe suburb for families"

Been following the market in Endeavour hills for a while now and we finally found our forever home here. The prices currently are crazy and if you don't buy soon you will be priced out of this suburb.
Pros:
- It's a beautiful suburb with loads of hills that make your drive to and from work so much more enjoyable.
- Close to everything as it's a short drive to M1 and big suburbs like Dandenong. But also secluded enough to be safe.
- has it's own shopping centre with coles, aldi, kmart, auspost, and loads of other shops
- Great schools in the vicinity for families with kids
- Lysterfield park is just a few minutes drive where you can picnic or watch the kangaroos pass you by.
- Loads of huge Grande houses in the suburb make the streets look posh
Cons:
- Crime: If you're stupid enough to leave your car unlocked on the street and have no security cameras you'll get robbed anywhere in Australia. Even in posh suburbs like Glen waverly or Mulgrave. So be safe, lock up your cars, invest in security cameras and motion sensor security lights and you should be fine
- no train stations so if you use public transport you need to use the bus routes to another train station. But there are plenty of bus stations in the suburb.

Rentals in Endeavour Hills

"Great suburb to live in, safe, quiet, convenient but don't use the Endeavour Hills Car Wash at the shopping center"

The only 1 thing I would warn people who want to live in this suburb is.....don't ever use the car wash at the shopping center, doesn't matter how cheap they charge you
you are wasting your time and money, and they will take no responsibility, they expect you to give them a clean car to wash.
Took my car there for a $55 exterior and interior wash, I did not expect 100% clean back window as I had dog in the car, I told them to clean the windows as much as you can, I can accept that, 2 hours later I came back to pick up my car, expect it to be clean, NO, area around the hand brake did not clean, dashboard not clean, still obvious dust on it, did not vacuum under the front seat, fur, dirt, pieces of rubbish like they never touch those areas, did not clean the side of the back seat, the front of the back seat also obviously dusty, boot area not even vacuum properly. I spent $55 for a high pressure car wash with very little cleaning in the interior, NEVER AGAIN, you want a car wash that really clean your car, DON'T GO TO THIS ONE. Now I have to get my vacuum cleaner to vacuum the car that I just paid $55 to clean, and wipe clean whatever they did not do with my own time and spray. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY.

The owner is a scammer also. I saw him get a haircut and then asked for a beard trim. He said I don't like it, it's to short I'm not paying and he walked off .

lal

Never went back again, find another hand car wash 10 minutes away that do a very good job, actually clean the car inside out with the same price, people are nicer, professional, ask if we are happy with the wash when we pick up the car, it is what car wash supposed to be like. Will never let Endeavour hills shopping center car wash touch any of my car ever again, and told every one I know don't use them, they are always happy to take your money but your car is not washed properly, not vacuum. They don't care if you are not happy with it, won't do anything about it, they just want your money for nothing.

Would recommend these 2 professional men to anyone!!

"Leafy Suburb with Beautiful Hills: Great for growing families"

We have lived in Endeavour Hills for over a year now and have had explored and experienced the suburb.

Firstly, the suburb is very green, full of trees and has spectacular views over the outer Eastern suburns especially when going out for walks with our little one.

Atmosphere and Feel
It is quiet, peaceful and green. The atmosphere has a great feel to it as the houses are on big blocks of lands and doesn't feel at all claustraphobic and "squashed in".

Shopping Options
We have so many shopping options. Firstly we have the local shopping centre in Endeavour Hills itself, which has everything you need such as Coles, Aldi and Woolworths as well as Big W. In addition, the major Shopping Centre which is close by is Fountain Gate Shopping Centre which is only 10min away. There is also Dandenong Plaza which slightly closer with plenty of variety and surprisingly better parking.

If you are after cheap and very fresh produce to cook for your family, then Dandenong Market is just opposite Dandenong Plaza. Weekends are great for a family brunch of Jam donuts and any one of a number of great options.

Hospitals and Medical Needs
There are lots of doctors in the area and the Joseph Banks medical centre has been reliable with many great doctors and bulk billing.

There is also an Endeavour Hills Specialist Clinic where you can make appointments with Pediatricians, Psychologists, Speech Pathologists etc...

If you need to visit a major hospital for an emergency then Dandenong Hospital also less than 10 minutes away for those family emergencies.

For Dental needs there is Totally Teeth which provides very good service.

Activities for Children

Outdoor Play is great when Lysterfield Park is only a 10min drive away and Myuna farm is
8 minutes away. There are also numerous Playgrounds and parks around the suburb.

There is also the Endeavour Hills Leisure Centre where there are activities run for children such as Gymnastics, Soccer.

For swimming, Dandenong Oasis is only just over 5 minutes away.

Endeavour Hills also has a fantastic skate park just outside the Leisure centre as well as a library.

Gym and Fitness

The major Fitness/Gyms in Endeavour Hills are Endeavour Hills Leisure Centre and SnapFitness.
The Leisure centre is great for families as the centre provides a creche service for Parents wanting to gain back their fitness, as a wonderful creche service can provide care for their little ones for an hour or two.

Public Transport
Most people complain about the lack of Train station in the suburb but it's only a 10min drive the Dandenong Train station and slightly further to Hallam Station. The suburb is also serviced by a number of busses that go throughout the suburb.

Night Life and Eating Out

There is a local shopping strip called the Terrace Shopping Centre where there is Pizza joint, Thai restaurant, Fish and Chips shops to go out for family dinners or having dinner with friends.

In addition, Hallam Hotel is only a 10min drive and has great Bands, comedians and shows line up.
Dandenong Pavilion (9min away) produces very delicious and highly recommended burgers. There is also the Dandenong Club in Heatherton Rd (only 7mins away)

"A lovely place to bring up a family"

We have lived here for over ten years and are finding it hard to leave! We would have looked at moving closer into the city but our modest four bed room house does the job for our family of four and we love the peaceful atmosphere of the suburb, the friendly residents and the easy access to freeway. This is not a trendy or 'hipster' suburb. But it is full of green parks and gorgeous views of the hills. It is minutes away from amazing nature filled walks (visit Churchill or Lysterfield park around dusk or dawn and you will be greeted by scores of kangaroos) despite being 32 km from the city. Fountain Gate shopping centre and Waverley Gardens shopping centres are down the road and our local shops and cafes are pretty good too. We have the BEST Deli this side of the city. I hope that the City of Casey invests more into this suburb as I think that it has loads of potential.

"Great suburb but pricey now. It has a great future."

One of the most beautiful and picturesque suburbs of Melbourne. Safe and quiet. Lots of bungalows and big houses available. This suburb use to be affordable before but prices have gone up in the past 2 years due to popularity.
Fountain gate shopping center is only 10 minute drive. Endeavour Hills shopping mall (with Coles, Woolies, Aldi, Fresh food market, cafes, bakeries, Post, Dominos, Fast Food) is very handy. Its got great access to freeway so easy to get around. Lots of schools and childcare available within the suburb.
The suburbs is got a lot of big bungalows, villas and even some mansions so prices have gone up due to street appeal and the space.
This is a great suburb to invest in and even bring family up if you can afford it.

"Clean and green with nice views"

Moved here about a yr ago as I had a few friends who already lived there and highly recommended it. Here are my thoughts:

Positives:
- Clean and well maintained
- Quiet and peaceful
- Beautiful views of bay/city/countryside....
- Friendly neighbours
- Value for money...house prices are very affordable ($500-600k gets you a huge house on large plot with views)
- Local shopping center for all daily necessities (Coles, Safeway, Aldi, Big W...) with major shopping areas of dandenong and fountain gate a short drive away
- Close to lysterfield lake recreational areas and farmland close by
- Several medical centers, schools and child care centers
- Local recreation center
- Public buses to Dandenong/Fountain gate and Hallam train station is not too far away for those going to the city
- Monash freeway can get you to the city in 30 minutes (off-peak), last exit before monash splits and becomes a nightmare

Negatives:
- Monash freeway is too busy during peak hours
- Lack of restaurants/nightlife

Overall I think its a great place to live and am happy I moved here.

""The Hills", a great place to live and invest in!"

The hills... as I lovingly call the suburb, is a fantastic and popular suburb to live in. I have been a resident for over 20 years. Its very rich in diversity and you can expect a friendly multicultural community. The homes are older and the prices have risen quite quickly in the Hills due to the high demand to live here. For the same money you can buy a larger and more modern home further out like Narre Warren, but why would you want to. Simply renovate and stay in a more friendly and accessible area. Easy access to the Monash freeway and Princes Hwy. The suburb has no train station but Dandenong is only an 8 min drive away. For better shopping go to Dandenong Plaza or Fountain Gate shopping centre both a short drive away.

You have great amentities in the Hills such as the Leisure Centre with YMCA gym and other sporting facilities, Shopping centre with all that you need (not enough clothing retailers though), great sporting clubs from Tennis, Soccer, Rugby, Football and other sports, and close to Lysterfield park, Public library, a long list of tasty take-way outlets from McDonalds to the Dancing Wok(noodles), the best Medical centres like Joseph Banks, excellent schools, Vet, Mechanics and a part time operating Police station =). Very safe and friendly and the suburb is pretty and green. Its nice to take a walk and enjoy the majestic views over the city of Casey and nearby hills from Lysterfield park. You get pretty fit too with all the walking up and down the hilly streets.

The only negative to me is the young rev heads that try and hang out at Mc Donalds car park at night, but the police are onto them and make regular drive-by's.

You cant go wrong in this suburb, if your investing or looking to live in. The prices are very strong and stable and the residents are fantatsic. Make 3802 your next postcode!

"Hidden Gem"

We just love the locality ever since we moved in here 6 years ago. It's really a hidden gem for families, couples and all.

I drive to work every day and the access to Monash freeway or Princess Hwy is a breeze.
Local shopping centre is nice and quite but will meet all of your requirements with stores like Coles, Woolies, Big W, Aldi, Reject Shop etc etc.

I have friends who chose to buy a bit further in SE like (Berwick, Naree Warren etc) and they all moan and complain about driving and congestion past the Heatherton Rd.

Major pluses in my opinion are:

- Easy access to Monash Freeway
- Abundance of local parks, bike tracks and reserves
- Great schools
- Family friendly
- Local shopping centre and easy access to Fountain Gate
- Quiet streets
- Lovely views of hills and valleys
- Easy access to Lysterfield park/lake, Dandenong Ranges etc

"17 Matthew Flinders only"

This house does NOT have "Gas" heating as it says in the add, it only has a split "Electric" system that will happily give you $600.00 plus electricity bills in winter (bi monthly) and in the contract it says you are not allowed to use oil heaters. The house is so hot in summer that you will pay the same for cooling. It would be by far the worst house I have ever lived in. The agent will tell you AFTER you move in “don’t ask for repairs because the owner is not rich” then you will need to take him to the tribunal for minor repairs (unless it’s plumbing) or anything else that needs to be done, even simple things like doors not closing properly, and you have to have the door closed to the bedrooms or you will freeze at night or heat the whole house which will cost more than the $600.00 mentioned above, Or even the earwig’s insects I found in my fridge, food and in the cupboards and around the house, not good if you have an 18 month baby girl crawling on the floor. Watch out for the sharp screws sticking up in the main bedroom wardrobe holding up the bar to hang your clothes, which the agent will tell you to get your hammer and bash them down (great solution), so what will hold up the bar with your clothes on it? Oh have I mentioned the stove top and oven yet, well how would you like to use the oven and have about half a litre of black, burnt greasy fat drip from the oven and grill onto the floor and then have the agent say to you “you own the fat… you clean it” even though we had just moved in and it was the first time we used it. And if you decide to take him to the tribunal for any reason, be assured when your lease is up and you look for another (better) property, the agent will give you a bad reference and you will not get another house to live in until you realise what has happened and tell other prospective agents about this agent. All these things the tribunal inspector ordered him to repair. I can go on and on with a list full of stuff but you get the picture, oh I have many of those too (pictures) if you want to see them. I put up with this property and agent for 12 months and am glad to get the hell out. I might even start a facebook page about this property, watch this space.

"Peaceful place to live"

We have lived in Endeavour Hills for the past 10 years and it's great.
Very peaceful a great place for families, lots of sports and parks, Frog Hollow is just fantastic, who could imagine an area with creeks and wetlands being so close and so accesable, great for walking the dog or going for a run.
It is close enough to all the big shopping complexes but far enough away not to be bothered by traffic.
It's location is great only 40 min from city and in the other direction the gateway to Gippsland.

"Great Place to be !"

Not Many places in Melbourne where one can experience City,Bay and National Park views from the one window. Endeavour Hills has been on our radar for a while now and we finally purchased here as a young family in 2009. We have a great fully refurbished Shopping Centre which caters for all our daily needs, with Dandenong Plaza, Knox Shopping Centre and Fountain Gate not too far away. Bordering some great suburbs, eg Rowville, Lysterfield South and Narre Warren North, it's an area for future growth considering proximity and accessibility to City. We are surrounded by great friendly neighbours.

"Never want to leave it"

My wife and i moved into Endeavour Hills around 4 years ago.

Apart from the fact its nice to be able to stand out on the deck and see something other then the back fence, we absolutely love the place.

Its so handy to everything we need. Not only the usual schools, parks (lakes etc) and playgrounds for the kids but also with the M1 and M3 so close, not to mention South Gipsland Hwy and Dandenong-Frankston it means we have the ability to jump in the car and head almost anywhere with ease.

We also love its proximity to so many places good for shopping, whether it be for the house or us (Dandnong Commercial Districts, Knox City and Fountain Gate are all within 10-15 minutes drive.

Our neighbours are fantastic and the area is nice and clean.

We are going to look for another house soon, and it will probably be still in this area.

There is not really much of a night life, i guess if your looking for that you would head to Dandenong if you were keen enough :) But its not hard to get on the freeway and head somewhere.
