Living in Everton Park, QLD for long term - Reviews

We're looking at moving to Everton Park on long term bases and would like to understand any issues that we should be mindful of. We are young family and would like to be part of Everton Park community but I am hearing there are lot of rentals and not so favourable areas for various reasons in suburb which we would like to avoid.
Could someone currently living locally recommend areas/pockets to buy and live in? Or on the other side, pockets to avoid at any cost?
