George Town, TAS 7253 is located within the George Town local government area, part of the null Region in Tasmania.
I am coming to look to buy a house for retirement in georgetown...is there any perticular area thats safer .good or bad areas.within walking distance to town and as i dont work is there much volunteer work .thankyou.honest replys would b apreciated as once i buy theres no going bac.currently living in country town of 1600 ppl.so quiet life is god.currently near tamworth nsw and summers around 37deg .which is horrid

Life is always greener on the other side... We are looizto.move from Tasmania to the mainland!
Personally I would visit first and then spend time here, if you have unlimited funds you.will be fine.
If you want a job and living on a shoestring, George town is the social housing capital of northern Tasmania.
