Are solar panels a worthwhile investment in Glen Forrest?

Solar panels are a good investment if you use enough electricity to warrant the cost of installation and will get enough return over a few years. I'm not sure that it is relevant to the area, since it is the orientation of your house and/or roof which determines the degree of benefit you will get - the sun is still up in the sky regardless of where the house is. Naturally if you have trees shading the available roof area, there will not be any value in the panels. In the metro area Synergy rates would be the same.
