There are many local summer programs. Some of the traditional day camps are North Shore Day Camp, Shibley Day Camp & Pierce Day Camp. The Ys offer programs as do the local private schools like Friends Academy, LuHigh, and the colleges Post, Hofstra...just to name a few of the varied opportunities depending on a child's age and interests.

Cedar Creek American Grill, 75 Cedar Swamp Road, Glen Cove, www.cedarcreekli.com, 516.656.5656 Is a warm & welcoming local restaurant. It is family friendly, has a bar crowd and room for private parties. I've attended luncheons, dinners, birthday brunches & showers here. The staff is attentive, the food is delicious, attractively presented and well priced. This is our go to place.
