Building in Glenwood QLD

Hi all, my little family and I have recently purchased land in Glenwood and would like to move up from Melbourne later this year - mostly just wanting any tips/ideas/contacts about building/clearing land/fencing etc.
Is a permit required to clear trees? Is it possible to live in the shed that's on the property while building a tiny house?

I know this is a very broad post, we would just like any information possible to help us put a plan into action!
