Glenwood/Neerdie Forest shortcut

Hi just wondering if anyone knows if there are any plans for a paved road through the Forest to reduce travel time to TinCan/Rainbow? Many thanks.

Yes, there has been more recent rumour's of this becoming a sealed road. Now that an American company owns this forestry that might one day come through. That was a big part of why I bought this far out from the ocean, in the hope that 35min to beaches will one day be a real possibility.

The road sealing is coming. I recently (Sept 2019) spoke with a survey team who were placing traffic counters and they alluded to a lot of improvements coming to the area. All roads in and out of Glenwood were being layed up with traffic counters. Given that it borders with Gympie council I think there is some pressure from Fraser Council on Gympie council to improve the area access via the Wards Road turn off which is still in Gympie Council jurisdiction but is a main road for local bus and school bus services in Glenwood. They said the streets would be named too instead of the arbors now that Glenwood was growing in population and popularity.
