Reviews of Grosvenor Street, Balaclava
"Convenient, Melbourne lifestyle, great food & coffee"
Loved living at this location, walking distance to fantastic cafes & restaurants in Carlisle St & Ripponlea, smack in the middle of two train stations to easily get around Melbourne & into the city. Easy enough to walk to the beach in Elwood or St Kilda & Luna Park. Our balcony at the back was always remarkably peaceful considering the location.

Looking for a home in Grosvenor Street?
"Grosvenor Street is fantastic!"
What a great street. We moved here 6 months ago and haven't looked back. Close to great shopping on Carlise, parks, public transport and schools and a really eclectic mix of older migrants, young afamilies and single 20 soemthings! I wouldn't want to live anywhere else! I can walk my 2 year old to child care, grab a coffee, do some shopping, go to the gym, have a swim at teh beach and have dinner with a friend without getting in my car. What more could you ask!

"A delight to wander and shop!"
Chapel Street in St Kilda is one of the most iconic and well known streets in all of Melbourne. With its amazing fashion boutiques, cinemas, restaurants and much more, it's hard to think of Melbourne without it.
I've known a few people who have lived here, and most have loved it. It's great for younger people seeking a great lifestyle, however it is a little cramped for some.
Overall, it's a great street. I would just avoid it at night times if you are sober, it can get a little hairy at 3:00am!

"ST KILDA & CHAPEL ST - CAN'T BEAT THE ADDRESS"
the best location in the most sought after suburb. With the lack of residential development in the area compared to other suburbs i.e. south yarra and prahran in the recent years, this area OUTSHINES all of them!!!! I love living in Chapel Street ST KILDA and the convenience of having it all at my finger tips - shopping, beach, library, school and city.

"Looking to buy!!!!"
I have a property in the area as well as an investment. It has been a suburb that has done very well for me in price going up as well as it has always been rented out.
I love the attractions ST KILDA has to offer with the Chapel street address, everyone knows where we are when you travel within Australia and some parts of the world as CHAPEL ST is famous!

"Best Location in Melbourne"
when you are looking for the best restaurants, nightlife and close proximity to the city as well as the beach you cannot overlook chapel St ST KILDA!!
It has the chapel street name without having the noise that comes with the prahran and windsor end of the street.
Highly reccommend!!!

"A Fabulous Nightlife"
I have only been on Chapel Street a few times and most of those times it has been a friend dragging me out to go clubbing or on a party bus. There are plenty of nightclubs and bars for the night owls and most of the clubs stay open to the wee hours of the morning so if you want a big one it is great. It is also a great place to spend the day shopping. Traffic wise I hate it. It is always pretty busy but I'm from the country and am used to no cars and dirt roads so it could just be annoying to me because I'm not used to it.

"The St Kilda East End......close enough to walk....but far away from Chapel street bedlam."
The st kilda east end of chapel street is surprisingly quiet! It's walking distance to the restaurants, bars and shops on chapel street, acland street and fitzroy but away from the congestion. Great location. Lots of trams and safe walking at night.

"Typical inner suburbia"
The street is close to Ripponlea train station and shops on Glen Eira Rd plus a short walk to St Kilda Rd it's an area with many blocks of flats from around the 1960s. Dilapidated and too much concrete with a few trees thrown here and there. The train line also crosses the street (railway bridge) with a small park and grassy area to hang around on. The Grosvenor Hotel is at the southern end of the street providing food and drink and a short stumble home.
