Reviews of Grout Street, Macgregor
"Quiet street, close to Griffith University, Garden City, vets, shops and public transport."
Living in Grout street has been excellent! The neighbours are very friendly in which we've been invited to some BBQ's as soon as we've moved in. I don't own a car however there is a bus stop about 4 minutes walk from my house and Garden City (one of the major shopping centres) is only a comfortable 10 minute walk. The street is very neat and tidy and it's great to see people taking pride in their properties. Properties values are very affordable and the street houses are very mixed. There are some houses currently selling at $800,000 and some for $400,000. There are alot of 2 story houses and heaps of greenery. We also have a creek called "Mimosa" which is nice to go to once in a while. There are some dogs in the street but you rarely hear them.
The only criticisms I can think of are, that because we are next to Kessels and Mains road, some drivers like to avoid traffic lights and go down Grout street from Mains road to join up at Kessels road. At times you can hear the traffic on the motorway going into the city - but very rarely.
