The motorbikes from previous reviews have largely gone now due to better enforcement of the nature reserve. The street is around 50/50 mix of owners and renters but no real problems with any of them. ADSL internet is available but more importantly this street comes under the original NBN plan of FTTP which is currently under construction. The only real downside would be the limited public transport, about 10-15 minutes walk to the bus stop which operates at limited times. Around 25 minutes drive to the city if you have a car due to the recent upgrades/expansion to the Ipswich motorway. Options for eating out are very limited although there is a great cafe next to the Woolworths called Olive and Bean.

We moved here in 2009. There are sometimes a few noisy kids around and also some dirt bikes, but in general this area is pretty good and pretty quiet. We know our neighbours and both a generally nice and friendly. It is a bit of a bummer that a lot of the houses are rentals and sometimes there are not so great people moving in, but the neighbours generally get along and look after eachother. There is a great shopping centre nearby and a local woolies/bakery/hairdresser etc up the road which is so handy. Childcare is close also as well as several schools. We've been here 10 months or so and onlyhad a very small handful of parties in the street or noise distubances. I think we plan on sticking around for sometime :)

Generally, looks like a quiet street. However, after hours and on weekends there are noisy motorbikes riding bikes riding up and down the street.
There's no adsl internet access because of a lack in available ports. Also, 3g coverage for mobile phones and wireless internet sticks is very poor unless unless you opt to have telstra.
Lots of dogs in street and in surrounding streets. Sometimes feels like i am living near a dog pound. Although, I think the dog population is to keep the theives out of the backyards. Oh and feral cats living in the surrounding bushland that will steal your pets food.
Neighbours come and go because it is a high rental turnover area. Loud music and loud cars seems to come and go with that and crime seems to accompany that turnover also - there was a shooting in the street after a loud night of arguments and partying.
Overall, I am regretful that i signed a lease and would not consider living in heathwood place or this general area again. Cheap rents are an incentive to rent but rental dollars are much better spend in other areas.

We have rented two houses in this suburb and are currently renting a 4 bedroom house. We have three children and our children attend the local Catholic school. We have a nice network of friends in the area, who we regularly meet up with and go to the local parks together. We rented in O'Brien Cct and are currently in Skinner Street. Nice neighbours. Elderly couple next to us and another family on the other side.
