What are quality (affordable) long-term parking options in the city?

Inner Richmond, California null is located within the San Francisco local government area, part of the San Francisco County Region in undefined.

I recently moved to the city, and I made the ill-considered decision to bring my car. My intention is to only move the car occasionally, (mostly for trips out of the city, or big shopping runs), but I have found myself having to move the car around just to avoid tickets. Is there anywhere that does long-term parking, where I can just leave the car for days, in the Richmond area for a reasonable rate

I assume that you have gotten a parking permit and are just concerned with moving on cleaning days? (If you haven't gotten a parking permit, they are only $98 yearly.

If you have gotten a parking permit or just want to keep your car in storage, prices can get pretty steep. If you look for car storage on Craigslist you will find lots of people selling spaces but they are pretty expensive. I just saw one in North Beach for $275/month. So that is basically $3300 per year to keep your car there.

Your best bet might be to store it in the East Bay and just take BART out to it when you need it. Just saw one in Berkeley for $100/month ($1200/year).

Good luck!

Btw, be aware that parking on the street, you will probably get your car broeken into sooner or later. When my friends lived in North Beach it would happen to them at least once a year each, often twice. Richmond is safer but if you live there long enough, it will happen.
