Kalbarri is located on the coast 592 km north of Perth in the mid western region. This small town’s population explodes during the tourist season and has been known to reach over the 10,000 people mark from the usual 2,000 residents. Surrounded by national park, Kalbarri is on the mouth of the Murchison River and has a thriving fishing industry as well as tourism. Kalbarri District High School caters for children from K – year 12 and has an enrolment of over 270 students. Being so near the cost housing prices are quite high as are rentals which are becoming more scarce. Kalbarri has a good health service with Asthma Management, child health, emergency services radiology etc. Kalbarri has a sport and recreation centre as well as playing fields for most sports.
