"More infrastructure and Donnybrook Road improvements on the way"
Kalkallo has promising future growth with more infrastructure and Donnybrook Road improvements on the way. It is shaping into a vibrant and well-connected suburb with the Hume freeway and a major train line minutes away. It’s a great place for young families, first-home buyers, and those looking for a peaceful environment.

"Safe subrub with continuous growth"
Bought our first home here when there were a handful of houses in the area. Since then we've seen increase in residents, amenities and infrastructure. Even with this growth, Kalkallo continues to be one of the safest suburbs we've seen in Melbourne.
The only issue we've seen is the traffic at Donnybrook road during peak hours. However, this issue would be temporary with the Donnybrook road duplication plans already under way.

"Affordable housing options (for now)"
Kalkallo is the perfect location for us as it’s close enough to reach Melbourne in an hour, and far enough to enjoy a quieter, more relaxed atmosphere. With its affordable housing options and ongoing infrastructure upgrades, Kalkallo is a suburb with a bright future. A great place to call home!

"Stylish houses and easy access to the Hume Freeway"
Kalkallo has stylish, modern housing estates with spacious block sizes - great value compared to inner-city suburbs in my opinion. New schools, playgrounds, and wide, tree-lined streets make it especially appealing for young families.
The Hume Freeway is practically at your doorstep, making the CBD and Melbourne Airport easily accessible. Just a short drive away is the Donnybrook train station, ideal for daily commuters.

"Easier to reach the city when compared to some of the South Eastern suburbs"
Our family moved to Kalkallo after living in the South Eastern suburbs. We were initially sceptical about Kalkallo as it seemed to be a bit far away from our workplaces in the city. However, we were pleasantly surprised when we reached the Donnybrook station in about 5 mins and reached the city via the train in about 50 mins during the morning rush hour.

"Schools within walking distance"
Fast developing neighborhood with new schools. Very convenient with our kids being able to walk to the primary school. A secondary school within walking distance is opening next year. There's also a bus to Mt Ridley College Craigieburn.

"Safe suburb next to Donnybrook train station and the Hume freeway"
Kalkallo is one of the safest suburbs I've seen in Melbourne. It is located perfectly between Donnybrook station and Hume freeway. The only problem I've seen here is the traffic at Donnybrook road during peak hours. This problem is now being fixed by the government with $125m funding recently allocated to upgrade Donnybrook Road.
My partner and I were lucky to purchase a house here several years ago when houses were more affordable. There are some houses that have been sold for over 1 million in the recent years.

"Reach the city in less than an hour"
Reach the city in less an hour with quick access to freeways and Vline trains. Metro trains can be accessed by driving a short distance to Craigieburn. There's also an express bus that runs between Donnybrook station and Craigieburn station for those who wish to take the metro train.
