"Parks, elevation and more..."
Great street, great people, great location. I love City Beach. Perfect place for a family to grow up. Fantastic to live in a cul-de-sac with no noise from the local roads. Additional street lighting would be great, and a finished road, but otherwise a great street. Love the people and the fact that all the kids can run about hassle free and gain easy access to all the local parkland

"Whisper quiet, peaceful, walking distance to beach and parks."
Lovely quiet street, friendly neighbours, wonderful place to let the kids have fun in safety with 3 parks they can walk to and play without ever stepping on the road. The neighbouring dogs are ALL just gorgeous! - must be a reflection of where they live :) We've been here for about 13 years - our 2 billylids (now no longer kids) enjoyed making cubbies in the bush, camping out in the park, kicking the footy, having picnics and later walking down to the beach, surfboard tucked under their arms (in fact they still do that now!).
We have a street party once a year and when we can, celebrate Australia Day in the park with a barbecue. Balmy summer nights, with a light summer breeze, sitting out on the deck sipping a glass of white or downing a cold beer - it's just heaven - wouldn't want to ever leave!

I believe that two new coffee houses are planned soon. Certainly a brisk walk to get to Scarborough, but the Wembley Down Shopping complex is certainly a great walk with the kids on a Sunday morning to get the needed ground beans
Good news Aviator. Coffee shop just opened today at Ocean Village Shopping Centre. eFood and wholefood coffee shop specialising in cool, trendy food. Just up your alley. Next time you come over, you could swing by and pick me up a mocha!

"There is no better street to raise a family."
I have 3 young children and not a lot of time. However, I live in a safe, quiet, friendly street with a great park and walking tracks next door. This allows my kids to grow up with freedom in a clean green space. I can walk them to school, shops, bus, and endless parks not to mention the nearby beach!

This is certainly a great suburb for kids to play and grow. Love the schools, and my kids really enjoy the local parks and wildlife. Go the black cockatoos!
"Ultimate street"
High on a hill, great views, cool summer breeze. Backing onto a nature reserve with easy walking access to shops, public transport and schools. A cul-de-sac with great neighbours and great street spirit. Needs some council help to get the street as smart as possible, but all in all a fantastic street

Quite agree. Love that summer breeze. Seems to travel straight through the street on a hot summers day.
Hi Hammer, nice review... do you have any photos like sandnsurf?
Not quite the artist, like sandnsurf, but will try to add some views from the balcony
"The perfect family street"
Ultra quiet, on top of a hill overlooking the Indian Ocean to the East and the North. Overlooks the valley into Scarborough and Wembley Downs. Great neighbourhood watch with vigilant neighbours. Street party once a year. Accomodating to new arrivals. Very peaceful street with no major issues. Currently has underground power and other services, with excellent mobile and internet 2+ connections for broadband. Great access to parks, shops and schools. Council needs to finish the road surface, (we have currently been waiting for 14 years to have the finalsurface layer added!). All in all a GREAT place to live and have a family...and never leave.

Great photos. Sounds like a superb street. Are the local schools any good?
Great schools in the area. 5 minutes to Wembley Downs Primary School, 10 mins to Hale school as just two examples
Wow, you're going off there sandnsurf! You make me want to move to WA ... Great photos too!!!
Certainly the houses on the South side of the street back directly onto parkland and take the full brunt of the Fremantle Doctor. This can be fantastic on the scorching days, great for drying clothes in winter, but a little irritating on the cooler days. All houses on the North side seem pretty protected with their inland and more protected stance
Thanks Stormy. Great to see you on line. Any pictures form 'the early years' to add to the current list of photos?
