Best suburbs Cairns northern beaches?

Hi everyone looking to relocate from Melbourne. Young family of 3 with an old dog. Looking for a quiet familt friendly suburb o escape the busy Melbourne life. After local cafes, child care, supermarket etc. Looking to rent 6-12 months with prospect of buying. So far Kewarra seems to be a front runner, pros and cons? We have visited palm cove twice and love the lifestyle but thinking of some where a bit less busy close by? Many thanks

Kewarra is a perfect family suburb, it has a wonderful private junior school, excellent medical surgery and a few local shops. Trinity Beach is great too and it has a good primary school, local shops. Smithfield Village/Trinity Park is a newer excellent area for families with walking trails and parks, Catholic primary school and State HS, few local shops .. All of these are a short drive to either Smithfield Shopping Centre and Clifton Village. A good idea to rent for 6 mths and decide which area suits you best.
