Is there a snake risk living near Lake Goollelal?

In my opinion there is always a snake risk living near any water in Perth. Tiger snakes always like a good water source and dugites are fairly widespread too. The real risk though is if you are walking in the immediate area and have dogs running around on their walks - or kids for that matter. I have seen them on walks, but it can be easy to miss their presence - a quick rustle and a disappearing tail just before your dog puts its foot down in the wrong place!
