What do you consider the best suburb in Townsville for Families and amenities?

Mount Louisa was rated one of the best suburbs in Queensland.

I think Kirwan is the best suburb, I was born in Townsville and lived in a lot of different suburbs as I grew up and married. I lived in a quiet court not far from the river where I used to walk or ride to the riverwalk. The pools were a really nice place to have breakfast or just to play with the kids!

I am wanting to move to twns. We have four children. 8 to 14yrs. We want something, safe, kid friendly and close to most things.

There are a number of good suburbs for families it just depends on your priorites for your family, the ages of your family and how much quality time you want. There is too much information to put here but I am quite happy to discuss pros and cons of the different suburbs if you call me. I grew up in Townsville.
