Is this a safe place to live as far as local crime
We are looking at buying in Kuranda are the locals friendly and are there any issues with crime in the area.

Hello unfortunately the locals are not friendly you have several groups the upmarket yuppies who are think they are just a little bit to good.
The hippies that if you don’t have dreadlocks walk around in bare feet and want to protest about the government then they are not infested.
Kuranda community Facebook pages the fight and call each other names.
Compared with other places Kuranda does not have a lot of crime a few house break ins now and again, but that’s about it.
