In addition it's great if you're a cyclist. I cycle everywhere now and find I don't need the car unless I'm tutoring someone far away or going to see friends/play sports on the weekend, otherwise I ride everywhere and the busses are frequent too.

It's pretty reasonable... for the most part anyway. I am a first home buyer and although I will admit it is Pricey here, the fact that it's close to everything means that I can easily work 2 jobs (I work for a national not-for-profit organisation and tutor) and pay it off sooner than expected - if that's what you're into... Also, because it's so close to the city, I get up much later than a lot of my colleagues! :) So yeh it's good for professionals, but if you're the type of person who likes to enjoy life a bit more then I would recommend living down south near the beaches, they are beautiful! Here is not as fun (it can be boring and there are a couple of annoying hoons who drive late at night) I was gonna buy in Seacliff or Hallett Cove but because of my career I decided to live here. Hope that helps.
