Just bought here -fantastic. Town has everything, houses very affordable. Everything you need is here. Coming from Brisbane I am pleasantly surprised.
Cant rate high enough, save $300k off a mortgage compared to Brisbane and buy here. Think the other review regarding crime is a little extreme. Its the same as any town, but quite frankly from living at Chermside which is a medium of $600k, the crime in Laidley is almost non-existent in comparison.

"Country living surrounded by town folk who care"
Great value, high quality real estate is available in Laidley. Particular pockets of the town have created a wonderful family environment where children can roam free and ride their bikes without fear of traffic or pollution, protected by caring neighbours with a great community spirit. For families, everything you could need or want is available in town (and for the rest there's online shopping)! Peaceful living at its best.

"Laidley has Small town syndrome, Do not like to let outsiders in unless they follow the rules of the town, Be prepared to not have your own opinion ever."
Very very highly prone to flooding, Be prepared for your house to go under water after 2hrs straight rain, real estates lie to get you in rental properties, then do not fix problems. Love to take your cash then kick you out as soon as you complain about bad conditions & thug neighbours. Police & local bogans support each others lies, Dont expect help if you are in trouble. Best thing is seeing back of town in rear vision mirror.. ;-p

I have lived in various locations around the Lockyer and Laidley is a lovely and quiet, safe area with excellent facilities for a small town. Great place to bring up children with good schools and great sports ground and lots of friendly people and great activities and support for older folks also! Good riddance to knockers - find somewhere better for your $ - good luck!

I believe its the best suburb in the Lockyer Valley. So quiet and tranquil with large acrages offering plenty of privacy. Great for the commuter only minutes from the Highway.
