It is definitely NOT the worst parking in the city but it certainly is not the best. I'd say it is like most of SF--hard to park. Because Lake Street is a quieter part of the city, the fact that it is just as hard to park here as many other noisier neighborhoods, throws people off. Its proximity to Clement Street Restaurants/bars and numerous houses of worship make this neighborhood difficult to find parking.
Parking in the Lake, San Francisco--or the Lake District Neighborhood is in some ways perhaps worse than in the rest of SF.
Even though you are in the Richmond District, you are still getting 2 hour parking and lots of driveways that take up what would otherwise be prime parking spaces. At night, you will probably have difficulty finding a place. In the day you will have to move your car every 2 hours. And I don't know if there are any of those expensive parking lots around here.
