"Great central location - 10 minutes to town, 20 minutes to Palmerston, 2 minutes to Casuarina"
Lakeside Drive is a thoroughfare to Charles Darwin Uni, Royal Darwin Hospital and Casuarina Shopping Centre. It is busy between 7.30am to 8.30am and 4.30pm to 5.30pm weekdays. Aside from that small drawback there is great open space across the road with two ovals on University grounds. There is a bicycle track to take you along the Nightcliff foreshore and beyond or alternatively there is a bush track that exists at the back of the University which takes you to the footbridge at Nightcliff. A Community Garden is a recent addition to Lakeside Drive. A nice neighbourhood to live.
Great for
- No houses on one side of the drive!
- Close to Casuarina shops and central to everything else.
Not great for
- An hour of busy traffic at peak times each day.
