"The best street in Gowanbrae"
In our opinion this is the nicest street in Gowanbrae. It has incredible houses which are situated on a hill that overlooks the city and parklands. The houses are HUGE! It's a fantastic drive which takes you right down to the houses that face opposite to the parklands and creek.
Great for

"Handy near city living with views and great shopping"
Great place for working couples and people who work in the city as it's only 15 mins drive along the Tulla freeway into the city of Melbourne and 5 minutes drive to the tram which goes all the way into the city. You must like fairly compact living as most of the blocks of land are smallish and there are many townhouses. The estate currently has 2 shops - a Convenience Store and a Fish 'n Chip shop. A very modern new suburb with good views just around the corner from Westfield - Airport West, 20 mins walk away actually. Sometimes it can be noisy though with goods train line nearby and planes landing (mainly Lear jets or light aircraft - no 747s) at the nearby Essendon Airport. These things you probably wouldn't notice after 6 months of living there.
There is also a retirement village there as you drive in to the estate for over 55's and it's excellent for retirees wanting access to facilities and entertainment.
