Are there alot of ticks in Lockyer Waters?

There is cattle & bush ticks in most areas but i wouldnt say there in plague porportions or anything to worry about, I live on large acreage & although i get some tick on my cattle, my dogs have never picked one up. Animals continually yarded or penned will attract ticks in the wet times.
