Reviews of Lomatia Close, Redlynch
"Family Heaven"
Lomatia Close is ideal for families! It is a quiet dead-end street that is tucked away from noise and traffic, but very close to everything and only 15 minutes to Cairns city. There are around 14 homes here and blocks are around the quarter acre size. The street itself is wide and many homes back onto a creek reserve, giving a feeling of spaciousness. You can walk to both the State school and the Catholic school in less than 5 minutes. They service primary and high school age children and have excellent reputations. There are two other private schools within 3 kilometres. A new Woolworths shopping centre has been built approximately 1 kilometre away, and is accessible by a pedestrian/bike-way which continues on to parklands along Freshwater Creek. Residents are very friendly and most owners stay in the street for decades. There are buses to Cairns City, James Cook University and the beaches at the end of the street, so teenage children can get to work or town easily. You could get by with one car or even without a car if you live here. It really is a peaceful and scenic place to live, but handy to everything a family needs!
