Is the Loveland Museum and Gallery an appropriate "field trip" for kids?

The Loveland Museum is a great place to go. It has a lot of neat history about Loveland along with several really neat art shows that come through the area several times a year. Plus, it's right in the middle of downtown Loveland so why not grab a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants that are close by after your tour of the museum :-)
Yes it is a great place for all ages. Even though I am native to the area, I always enjoy taking a look at the history exhibits and they really do have some great art exhibits as well. In May the local Rotary Clubs sponsor the Governor's Art Show which exhibits some of the best artists in the area.
Yes, for being small compared to a large city gallery, it has a lot to offer. The focus is on teaching diversity through history and art. You can find out about the history of the Great Western Sugar Factory, the history of Loveland itself, and many other things. They have several art exhibits going on at once, a little something for everyone. They also occasionally have festivals for families, such as one coming up for Halloween. Running at different times the gallery also has art lessons from toddler age to adults. Before taking your nieces or nephews I would look at their schedule of what's going on and try to time it so there is something special for the little ones. You can type 'city of Loveland' into any search engine and there should be a link to the museum and gallery. Have fun!
There is not a lot of interactive things for young children but school age will find it very interesting, they have great art exhibits, and a lot of history of loveland and its founders,
yes it is a great field trip for kids. It teaches the history of Loveland and focuses on the history and diversity through art. They have and excellent collection of indian art.
