Just wondering which side of Macleay island has the best air circulation and also least midges?

The midges come and go, might be around for a couple of weeks and then they're gone for a while, not so much in winter, spray your fly screens with surface spray or buy one of those small insecticides that plug into a power point

The east. Gets more breezes to blow the midges away, plus you escape the hot westerly afternoon sun and the Ekka winds in August.

Eastern side gets the eastern breezes, which help keep them away. Western side is calmer, and also gets the afternoon sun.

North side where we live has great sea breezes.
Middle of the island can be in a bit of a dip and less breeze but it varies greatly. perilla has a lot of midges I believe.
It varies greatly from property to property. The island is not one size fits all but it is a great place to live.
