"Safe, secure estate, great location"

Macquarie Links is perfectly located at the M5 and M7 junction, with easy access to the city, airport, and from to the North West to South West of Sydney. It has 24 hour gated security, with one entrance in and out of the estate, past the gatehouse. The security team know each and every car/resident, and record details of all visitors to the estate. No work contractors are allowed entrance between 5pm and 7am, and no on Sundays, allowing for a peaceful estate. All the properties meet strict guidelines to ensure the quality of the estate. Landscapers are employed to maintain the beautiful gardens around the estate, paid for by the residents in their levies of about $500 per quarter, on top of their council rates of $450 per quarter. There are no children's playgrounds in the estate. The estate is great for walking, running due to the many hills, however, not so pleasant for young children on their bikes, due to the hills. The views from many of the homes are gorgeous though, due to their positioning on the hills, overlooking the golf course, or the city off in the distance. The house blocks are large, most over 700 sqm, large enough for a pool, however there is also the community pool and tennis courts that are booked through the gatehouse. Most residents are friendly, people always say hello as they walk past (on the road, no footpaths), and especially around Christmas with all the homes and gardens lit up, everyone chats to everyone. The clubhouse at the golf course also caters for the community with celebrations catered for, for example, Christmas parties, Friday night dinners, Seafood nights. Most home owners take great pride in their gardens, even some of the few rental homes are well taken care of. Traffic is limited through the estate since there is no through road. 98% of drivers take care along the two main roads, with the odd (and usually the same) drivers with no respect for anyone else, hence the reason my children don't play out the front, though they are well catered for in our backyard. Overall, it really is a beautiful estate, making a beautiful impression as you drive in. We would choose to live here again.
