How easy/difficult is it to find childcare in Maidstone?

I am moving to Australia by the end of the year and am thinking about living in Maidstone. I am also thinking about setting up a Family Day Care and would like to know from families with kids in the area how easy or difficult do you think it is to find childcare over there. I am at a very early stage of assessing this idea, but even if I decide not to open a FDC, I would need to arrange childcare for my own daughter in case I wanted to work elsewhere. Can anyone give me an insight on Childcare in Maidstone? Anything is appreciated. Thanks!

There are 4 day cars within 2 kms from my house. There is a new montessori that just opened at edgewater next to Aldi.

Hi,
we were offered a place at 3 decent centres (one council and two private) for the days we needed for our 1yo. Places are available at good centres depending on which days you need. Council centers are hander to get into, some have 1 to 2 year waits.
