Does this site cover N YC mainly or all over the world?
God Uraniumfish both you and BroadwayBK have made me intensely hungry with your posts today...absolutely scrumptious site...
I know. I am going to stop and eat soon myself. Wow, all this talk about food is making me hungry.
@ hhusted I think it's only one guy doing it and he lives in NY. @ uptowngirl No kidding, if he's not photographing food professionally he should consider it as a new career.
Makes me hungry! Although, who but an NYCer would start with food and end with existential musings, eh? Except perhaps a Parisian!
Actually, I think he might be Korean, but I don't remember now where or why I know that...
I love this site. I really would love to start a blog that involved me eating out every day... There are so many of these though.
Shouldn't stop you, BroadwayBk. There's something keenly obsessive about Food-In-Mouth which is why it's so attractive to read and look at. You be that obsessive and people probably would take notice...
I'm still waiting for the proper blog idea to "come to me". It's coming. Eventually.
@BroadwayBK get it started , at least all us foodies on this forum will follow you.. btw have any of you read the new book Cleaving by Julie Powell? the food blogger of Julie and Julia fame? Have been toying with the idea of buying it ...
@uptowngirl good to know I've already got some potential readers.
I actually haven't had much time for reading of late, but I am an overactive book buyer, so let me know if you do buy it and it's worth checking out....
When you come up with your blog idea and start it, I will read it, BroadwayBK.
Recently came across this site in my everlasting search for delectable/ affordable eats: http://nycfoodguy.com/
Thanks, BroadwayBK, for the link. It really is a fascinating website. The food looks good enough to eat.
@BroadwayBK Yeah, that site really is "food porn," and I'm glad to see he's done the pilgrimage to The Doughnut Plant.
@BroadwayBK thanks that's another great site for all us foodies out here..
5 bucks for pad thai and 2 dollar beers! That's pretty outstanding. I bet there are so many deals around town like this with pretty decent food . . .but, finding them is pretty tricky when it's cold and you are already hungry. I still think the free pizza at alligator is pretty decent; so, I just keep going back there.
I'd love to be a food blogger - I grew up partially in Italy, and I've been spoiled by the Italian appreciate for food (and commensality) as the ultimate sensual/social experience. It's cliche - but true - food for the Italians is never a sin, but rather a wonderful part of celebrating being alive! I wish I could remember that every time I put myself on a diet...
I love Italian food. I think Italian chefs are the greatest. They really know how to make great dishes, especially pasta dishes.
Me too hhusted.. thank god NYC has some good Italian restaurants like my favorites-Sandro's, Il Riccio and Il Bagatto.
@Uraniumfish I am dying to go to the Doughnut Plant. Everyone is always talking about that place - what is so special about it, though? Do they make incredibly fresh doughnuts? Are they just super talented at making them?
@ajadedidealist Let's go into the food blogging business!
@JenMac I am with you on the pizza at Alligator Lounge.... though after a few drinks, even Bushwick pizza starts to taste okay.
I have a better idea, especially for us food lovers. Why not start a food eating business. This way we get to eat all the food we want, when we want. Wouldn't that be ideal. Of course, I am only dreaming. But it's nice to dream sometime.
