Where do you shop for your skincare needs?
Does anyone know a great place that sells Carol's Daughter products? Or just a good specialty skincare store suggestion would be great!

@BroadwayBK I did a search on their website which listed several Carol's Daughter specialty stores in Brooklyn for instance there is one in the Atlantic Terminal located at the junction of Atlantic Ave and Flatbush Avenue round the corner from BAM-http://www.carolsdaughter.com/category/customer+service/our+homes.do
@uptowngirl That's awesome - thanks! Believe it or not I actually never imagined I could do my beauty supply shopping so close to home. I was envisioning expensive Soho shops....
@BroadwayBK glad to be of help!
Hey lovely ladies, I have a friend who loves to shop for cosmetics. She goes to Wal-mart most of the time. But since she lives in the city, she doesn't get there too often. So is there a place in town that she can go to that is reasonably priced.
If you desperately need to go to an expensive SoHo shop, though, there's always Bloomingdale's.
Saks, Bergdorf's, etc., all have a really wide selection of makeup counters - it's an atmospheric, if pricey, place to shop, and you do get free makeovers/consultations that are often very much worthwhile. And free samples!
I guess I am more in favor of smaller stores... not that I don't like a trip to the major department stores once in a while. I actually haven't been to Saks since I was a teenager with a lot of expendable income, but I'm not above or below it. There's just something about a smaller, less crowded shop that really appeals to me.
I went to the Carol's Daughter location in Fort Greene and the service was spectacular and the prices weren't too bad (compared to some of the things they sell at Bloomie's). I bought a salt scrub for $32.
@hhusted if your friend wants a store that is comparable to Wal-mart she may want to try the make up shelves of the Target stores in Brooklyn and Queens.
@hhusted @uptowngirl I think chain drugstores like Duane Reade and Walgreens are relatively similar to Wal-Mart when it comes to makeup/beauty products and their subsequent prices....
@BroadwayBK, I appreciate your post. However, I consider Duane Reade to be too pricey. I went there to buy a product two days ago and saw the price tag. They wanted $3.00 more for what I wanted. I put it back on the shelf and walked further down the street to the supermarket.
