We currently live at Humpty Doo near Darwin and although hubby is in his "happy place" I hate the humidity, climbing crime rate and isolation from the rest of the country.
Hubby works as a disability care worker and i am a hospital/hotel cleaner. We really just need to know if there might be work for us and that we can have a nice family life in the area. Hoping to have a couple of acres again as we did in Vic before we moved to the top end. Hoping it's ALOT less humid than Darwin.

Maryborough being near to Hervey Bay will have an advantage in the 'health care sector' jobs as Hervey Bay is a large health focused regional centre (approx 30 minutes from Maryborough). Bundaberg is larger and may have more opportunities also.
Personally I'd chose Hervey Bay but I'm biased having lived here for over 12 years! Best climate in Oz and safe beaches too!

Maryborough is a great town to live and to raise a family. More affordable than locations directly around and more value for money also. Plenty of work with Disability and aged care in both Maryborough and Hervey Bay.
I hope this information helps
