Maryborough is a medium-sized town, fairly quiet and relatively safe. There are lots of activities for older people, and a wide choice of housing options at affordable prices, from small units in town to small (or large) acreages close to town. It's geographically central to other places like Hervey Bay, Childers, Bundaberg, Rainbow Beach, Fraser Island or Gympie, all good for day trips or a weekend away.
