Are the apartments nearby Mascot train station affected by plane noise?

Oh yeah! Both mascot and eastlakes experience loud airplane noise day and night , well over the 70-80 decibel range. I'm an eastlakes resident and have made complaints to the transportation department. Nothing is changing and i was told specifically because not enough people are complaining to change public policy. I guess i'm just going to have to move out of eastlakes area or stand with a sign on the street to get support. Those are my options. But the noise level, with hundreds of planes per day, from 7am-11pm is just so bad!
