Is living in meadowbank put children at risk of cancer?!
Meadowbank, NSW 2114 is located within the Ryde local government area, part of the Sydney (Greater) Region in New South Wales.
We are about to rent a property in meadowbank. I have heard that meadowbank area is toxic. I am really worried about health of my children? What do you think? I am really upset but now have no other choise.

Unlike Rhodes, Meadowbank used to be a light industrial area. Therefore, I understand there was little (if any) pollution in the soil. I am curious to know where the cancer rumour came from. We have lived here for over 10 years and have a young child. We are regular users of the abundant surrounding parklands and river foreshore trails etc. There are quite a few good quality playgrounds around too. I would say Meadowbank is a hidden gem in Sydney. The fact that not many people know about the many benefits of living here is probably what keeps this suburb so friendly, low key and unique.
