Which suburb to buy home?

We are new to Melbourne , just 6 months old and want to invest in a house asap ( it saves rent).
But we are very confused with which suburb to consider ? we mostly expect a safe locality with good schools(primary) in zone. Not particular about which direction , can be west or north as well.... however, I understand most of the good schools are in east! Budget constrained upto 500K for now. Can extend a lil for something really good and worth

Hi Niitikaa
$650,000 would secure you a unit or townhouse but it's a great starting point.
I don't really know a lot about Dandenong as a suburb however its growth in terms of real estate values has been limited over the years (very happy to chat to you further if you need and my number is 0419 182 276)

Hi Nitikaa
I feel the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne provide a terrific and safe lifestyle along with great primary and secondary schools, and that would include suburbs stretching from Hawthorn all the way through to Mitcham/Vermont/Heathmont. Your budget will restrict you slightly, however in the outer Eastern suburbs, it is still viable to secure property for around $500,000
